My
opportunity is to create a product that eliminates the issue of people opting
to not eat at the stadium food vendors at large stadium events due to long lines and
not wanting to leave their seats. The solution to this issue is to create an
app that’s similar to Postmates and Uber-Eats but for large venue events. An app where you can submit an
order from your seat with your seat number included that is sent to the
designated vendor they’ve ordered from and a delivery person is sent to the seat
of the person who made the order. This will give attendants the convenience of
ordering from their seats instead of going when the lines are the
longest at halftime for a sporting event or during the game. This app would also provide the benefit to those with certain physical disabilities that hinder them
from going to the vendors on their own. The main popular use of this app would be during sporting events but this app can also be branched out to other stadium events such as concerts, entertainment shows, or even at movie theaters. By being more inclusive of all types of stadium-sized events instead of only for sports, it would differentiate this product from other potential ideas and opportunities being pursued. I think this product would be successful
because it highlights the culture of convenience we see today.
Bernard,
ReplyDeleteI believe your opportunity has the potential to gain a wide variety of customers as it is a need I feel many people have at various large events. I think the fact that you branched out into other possible events this could be used for, such as concerts and festivals, is smart because it widens the potential market. Those situations have a very similar need in terms of the large crowd and waiting in long lines for food. I believe more people would be willing to purchase food at sports events or concerts if this service existed because of the convenience factor. This will also generate more revenue for the stadium itself, which may be a powerful reason for them to agree to implement this service as it is beneficial to them.
Hi Bernard,
ReplyDeleteFor this post I found very interesting how you compare your app to Uber-eats and Postmates. That is an interesting way of looking at your App. I like how you include in your solution several types of events not just stadium making it more profitable the company and flexible for consumers. I agreed with you if you make this app not just for sport event it would differentiate the app from the competition. Out of curiosity how would you call the app? Overall, great job , I really enjoy reading your post.
